Ajax is a short form for Asynchronous JavaScript and XML is a mixture of a number of technologies used for constructing rich and quick to respond user interfaces. Ajax has rapidly become the technology of preference for constructing lightning quickly and quick to respond user interfaces. The Ajax Control Toolkit is a community project from Microsoft that contains a number of controls to design and execute Ajax – enabled controls flawlessly. This article mainly looks at ASP.NET Ajax Control Toolkit and how you can work with it – Custom Web Development India.

What is ASP.NET Ajax Control Toolkit?

The Ajax Control Toolkit is a store of controls that are used to generate and develop Ajax-enabled controls for constructing highly reactive and interactive Ajax-enabled Web applications – Web Development Companies in India. Microsoft state that, “The ASP.NET AJAX Control Toolkit is an open-source project build on top of the Microsoft ASP.NET AJAX framework. It is a combined attempt between Microsoft and the ASP.NET AJAX community provides a powerful infrastructure to write down reusable, customizable and extensible ASP.NET AJAX extenders and controls, as well as a wealthy array of controls that can be used out of the box to create an interactive Web experience.

Note that the ASP.NET Ajax Control Toolkit was first released by Microsoft in early January 2006. Then, it was made freely available to the community a few months later. Moreover, the new Ajax Control Toolkit has built in support for ASP.NET MVC Framework as well. In addition, the new toolkit provides support for client-side data access, client-side templates and data binding in the client side. Not only that, you can also use the Ajax Control Toolkit with jQuery – the popular JavaScript library – Outsource Web Development India.

The text in the newspapers and magazines are printed in columns, the reason behind it is to make lines short and simple, so once you have read a line, it iseasy to find the begining of next one. The page you are reading now shows one approach to constructing line length controllable: set the text in a fixed-width table in the middle of the page – Web Development Services India. Here is an example of a bad page with no restrictions on line length.
Here is another example of a good page – Website Development Company India, with sidebars to the left and right of the text. A latent difficulty with that layout is that the text will be too wide for viewers with actually big screens, because the text is fluid and expands when the window is larger. A technique around that is to create the text at a fixed width; however that poses a new problem: Pages must be designed to work on screen as small as 800×600, which means not more than 770 pixels wide to relate for scrollbars and such. The two sidebars on the page in inquiry take up about 175 pixels each, or 350 pixels total. That leaves 770-350 = 420 pixels for the text, which is actually thin and horrible on the larger 1024×768 monitors, which are the most familiar. So if I wish for two 175-pixel sidebars, I can either:
(a) Make the text 420 pixels wide, which will seem to be crappy on 800×600 screens,
(b) (Or) I can make the text fluid, which will seem to be ok on both 800×600 and 1024×768 screens, but poorer on even larger screens.
I chose (b), for the reason that that it gives the best result for the majority of web viewers.

As a basic step, you need to make sure that your site is built to W3C standards for fine website design. That means it should have a valid html and css. It means passing Priority 1 W3C WCAG (Google it!) at least. It means well developed website code (i.e. without errors) and simple and proper use of technologies. Actually – to do this it is quite simple for an experienced web designer – for accessible web designs do not accept that you need to pay more – it must come as a part of standard, fine practice web design – Web Development India. You could go one step further and ask “vision impaired” testers to test drive the site. As a final step, you need to listen to the visitors of your web site – Custom Web Development India . If anyone contacts and tell you about the inaccessibility of your web site – then fix it!

There is a business case and moral obligation to make your site as available as you can. There are more than 8 Million people registered as having a disability in the UK, and a lot of them use the net – do you really want to pay no attention to them? Prosecutions have been successful in Australia and the US – it will happen in the UK, just not any time soon – so do not worry too much about prosecution – and do not listen to the snake oil salesman who wants your hard earned cash for the entire website – Web Design Development India

This article gives a clear indication on the pros and cons of stock photography. Disclaimer: my girlfriend is a photographer / photograph editor who has worked in photo libraries and magazines… so I have some prejudice in this section.

I use to work at a web firm that was liable for the web site of Sun Microsystems in Australia/NZ, and division of the method we provided was to cause elevated worth stock photos from Getty images to mark on the Sun home page. These images were fairly low-priced – back in the day. Ever since then several stock websites that are far cheaper have cropped up, provided that (yet again in my belief) lower and lower quality control and has cheapen the photographer’s work.

How to demo your web designs to your clients..

So, as web designers, most of us still replicate up our layouts / designs in Photoshop (or comparable) before constructing them in HTML – Web Site Developer India. This is all fine and good. So, when we want to sample a design to our clients, how do we mail it? By tradition people would send their client a JPEG of the design (at times with the browser chrome incorporated to give an idea) – I used to make that too – Custom Web Development India.

But a couple of years before, I realize that this format often puzzled my clients – you contain no thought of how many times I’ve heard that “the back button in this sample isn’t functioning” or “why can’t i type in the address bar?” from clients. So, how do we compact with this? Well my answer is pretty frank (however when i give explanation to new developers, they frequently go “oh… that’s an excellent thought” – so currently I’m sharing.)

When i start a reproduce in Photoshop, i create in actual fact a big image… my usual opening point is about 2000×1500 pixels. I then construct my web site design in the middle of that 2000 pixel image, with textures / backgrounds etc extending right to the boundaries. Then, when prepared to sample the page, I just export the whole image as PNG and insert it on a really easy HTML page, like this:

<html>

<head>

<meta charset=”utf-8″>

<title>Make Believe Client</title>

<style>

body{margin:0;padding:0;background: url(1.png) top center repeat-x;}

a#space{height: 1500px;display: block;}

</style>

</head>

<body>

<a href=”2.html” id=”space”></a>

</body>

</html>

This assume that the exported design image is called 1.png – it’s 1500pixels high, so we create the A tag 1500pixels tall too… to make sure the scrollbar appear properly. I use an A tag, for the reason that if i have several composite, i connect them collectively… in the above example, i would produce a second HTML page called 2.html that would have 2.png as it’s backdrop… then you would be able to click everywhere in the window to walk all the way through my demos.

This may seem easy, but it actually save plenty of time, plus the client gets to notice the design in the chrome of their website.
